Your voice is lovely. So soothing it made me want to curl up with an afghan or drink a cup of tea while gazing at wild flowers :)

I had the privelege of seeing and hearing the "Sweeter" performance on NBC10 accidentally during a water break to get relief from working outside - and was hooked. What a great performance. I had to see Joy Ike in person. I just left Burlap and Bean where Joy, Peace and Eleanor performed - it was absolutely incredible. The three of them perfomed with such passion. The keyboard, drum and cello mixed with the singing, finger snaps hand claps and hand pops were awesome. They looked like they really enjoyed playing together. Joy's voice, facial expressions and song lyrics combined to make each selection come alive. The CD is a must have, but quite frankly you will only to hear her musical creative genius -- in person the songs are made complete as she explains the emotion behind its creation. I look forward to seeing and hearing more from Joy Ike. My only complaint is that we had to go home (I did purchase both CDs). What a blessing it was to be in the audience. What a tremendous gift Joy has and I appreciate her commitment to sharing it with us. I highly recommend putting buying the Rumor CD (my favorite cut is "Sweeter") and seeing at least one live performance on your To-Do list. You will not be disappointed.

Hi, Joy! How awesome to come hear you at the August Wilson Center's new OffCenter series! My neighbor and I agreed it was well worth riding down on the bus on this hot day to see you and the Center for the first time. Will definitely be getting your CD, and would like to have a video too because watching you perform is just as fascinating as listening to your unique voice! And the synergy between you and Peace is beyond belief - thanks for sharing your joint talent with us. Best of luck!

Hi, Joy! Saw you last at Heather Kropf's gig at Club Cafe and have been loving the CD. So happy to hear about your well-deserved success - maybe I'll try to get to the Lilith Fair just to hear you there! Peace and joy to you.

so i was standing at the back of the ballroom (Duq) and was hypnotized by your voice-- it is so beautiful and it's apparent you have a beautiful personality as well. as cliche as it is, you're destined for great things
